Upgrade of Test Facilities for Earth-Moving Machinery
CustoM 2.0 has implemented an advanced automation system to test the cooling systems of industrial vehicles.
This project is part of a major technological upgrade of test facilities dedicated to Product Validation (PV) for Earth-Moving Machinery (EMM).
The intervention included upgrading the data acquisition hardware and installing a test bench engine that exceeded 500 kW and was equipped with a torque flange and regenerative inverter.
Replacing the previous resistant torque system has significantly enhanced the facility’s efficiency and safety, reducing operating costs and improving sustainability.
CustoM 2.0’s expertise was demonstrated in the integration of Eurins AdaMo® software and NI cRIO® hardware, combined with an Oswald motor featuring EEI regenerative drive. The entire test cell was updated to meet the latest safety standards through the installation of a Mitsubishi vision system based on IQ-R PLC.
CustoM 2.0 is proud to have contributed to this innovative project, which reflects its commitment to ecological and digital transition for sustainable development.

Battery Emulator in Charge/Discharge Test Bench for EV Battery Testing
The battery emulator is emerging as a crucial resource in the electrification revolution, particularly in the development of electric vehicles (EVs).
Thanks to its ability to accurately replicate various battery characteristics – such as voltage, capacity, charge and discharge levels, faults, or anomalies it enables advanced testing without the need to use (and thus deplete) physical batteries.
This approach ensures greater safety, operational flexibility, significant cost savings, and remarkable speed in development and validation processes essential elements to address the challenges of the modern industry.
Recently, CustoM 2.0 developed a test bench to perform charge and discharge cycles on batteries, interfacing with the vehicle’s Battery Management System (BMS) via CAN bus communication.
This system allows the evaluation of battery performance over time and under various environmental conditions.
The batteries are housed in a climate-controlled shelter equipped with all necessary safety measures to prevent direct contact and mitigate risks of ignition or explosion related to electrochemical reactions.
In addition to battery testing, this bench can also be used for debugging control units or powertrains, acting as a true battery simulator.
