Magnetic Security Threads Control: CustoM 2.0 and it’s a winning proposal!

Reading the code embedded in the security thread makes it possible to capture the “DNA” of any security document (banknotes, passports, etc.), ensuring absolute authentication.
In the field of security document reading and verification, the magnetic sensors developed by CustoM 2.0 for both inline and offline inspection of security documents incorporate the most advanced technologies currently available on the market.
The market introduction of these magnetic sensors for security documents has proven highly successful and they are now widely used across the Euro Area and other European countries, establishing CustoM 2.0 as a recognised reference in the sector.

Stress Test Bench for Electrodes for Electro-Stimulators

CustoM 2.0, a leader in the development of innovative solutions also for the biomedical sector, has designed and built a test bench intended for the validation and stress testing of electrodes used in next-generation electrostimulators.
More specifically, these are percutaneous leads spinal cord stimulators aimed at pain reduction through high-frequency electrical impulses.

The SimStim test bench is capable of accurately analysing electrode conductivity by simulating the natural ageing processes that occur after implantation in the patient.
This represents a crucial aspect in a sector where reliability, safety and regulatory compliance are not merely technical requirements, but true guarantees for both manufacturers and the market.

SimStim TB enables in-depth testing of electrical parameters, functionality, durability and resistance, delivering accurate and repeatable results.
The software developed by CustoM 2.0, based on LabVIEW©, TestStand© and Python©, allows calibration of up to 40 independent and modular test stations, ensuring full and immediate control over every phase of the process.

AI-based in-process quality control in biomedical test benches

In a sector such as biomedicine, where quality is non-negotiable, the synergy between robotics and machine vision represents a decisive competitive advantage.
CustoM 2.0 has made its R&D expertise available to contribute to the development of an advanced AI-based vision system dedicated to 100% in-process Quality Control.

The system employs a collaborative robot (cobot) to handle the device under test and position it on a rotating platform.
The movement of the device enables the vision system to acquire images and process them through the AI integrated into the vision system itself.

Thanks to an advanced training process based on algorithms and logical sequences, the vision system software can analyse and continuously improve its training, ensuring accurate inspection and reliable identification of any product non-conformities.

The storage of images acquired during inspection allows the neural networks integrated into the system to be further trained, progressively enriching their knowledge base.

This AI-driven process enhances the system’s ability to detect defects and optimise inspection thresholds, continuously refining the performance of the vision system.

A technological contribution that strengthens process reliability and supports the customer in the continuous improvement of the quality of the technological product offered.
